Search engines, however, are not making it easy for Internet professionals to acquire the citations they need to place in competitive positions. The search optimization process has changed dramatically in the 15-20 years since search engines first emerged in the digital landscape. In the past, the secrets of high rankings were straightforward – the heavy use of anchor text, paying for placement of links, directory submissions (regardless of relevance), sculpting on-site links and focusing on density-based keyword content, among others. The process was haphazard at best, but couple those methods with a keyword-rich domain and it was possible to rank competitively on the search engines (and with relative ease and simplicity). Видимо Вы, не имели опыта работы с такими объемами страниц, когда при генерации лендингов под любой фильтр, например "Работает сейчас" - создается 50-70 К страниц. Просто представьте какой должен быть бюджет на такое количество текстов. Поэтому на своем опыте могу подтвердить, метод с грамотно написанной генерацией для таких объемов страниц работает отлично.

When Google released its Pigeon update in late 2014, few knew just how significantly the results pages would change and ultimately how sophisticated the search engine itself would become in relation to identifying queries with local intent – but that is exactly what has happened.  Search engine optimization (SEO) has always been a very “dynamic” practice, where changes in how the engines index and return websites and their content determine how a digital presence is optimized. This is quite evident in recent changes to the Google Local pack. Google essentially rolled out an update in early August in how it displays local businesses within its results pages. Instead of the 7-pack of listings that most consumers and Web professionals grew accustom to since the Pigeon update, Google now only displays three local listings. And there are even more changes that SEOs would be wise to understand if local website optimization is their responsibility. In addition to the number of listings returned, Google has also replaced the exact address with the street name only, removed phone numbers and Google+ links, and added opening and closing times. Proximity is influencing the digital landscape more so than ever before as shoppers want access to products and services as quickly as possible. Whether it’s choosing the closest brick-and-mortar or the fastest delivery/pick-up option for a product they found online, Internet users are proving speed and convenience rule the digital day. Search queries on Google including the words “near me,” for example, have increased by a factor of 34 since 2011 and, according to the search engine, nearly doubled since last year – with the vast majority (80 percent) coming from mobile. Which search entries do mobile users tend to select the most? Those that can lead to quick action. In fact, Google reported last year that 72 percent of consumers who searched for local information on their smartphones visited a store within 5 miles – good news for a business with a local storefront. Clearly mobile and the local Web are deeply intertwined (more on that below), but it’s not just mobile search that is fueling local purchase decisions. Read Full Article
